CDC issued an Order pdf, 9 pages effective January 26, 2021. It requires all air passengers over the age of 2, arriving to the US from a foreign country, including U.S. citizens and those who may have already been vaccinated, to get an antigen test for COVID-19 infection no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight.

Resorts, cruise lines, tour companies, hotels and others in the travel trade are preparing processes to conform with this mandate.

We at Go Bucket List Travel will do our best to keep our Travel Guests informed of testing opportunities and processes abroad.

For our Travel Guests heading to Mexico or the Caribbean, the good news is that most of the major resort brands have arranged for free on-site COVID testing to conform with CDC travel directions. These efforts will facilitate your returning home to the U.S. Most resorts are also offering quarantine protection plans for added peace of mind, in case you are tested positive for the COVID and must be quarantined until allowed to be retested. Booking and travel windows vary by resort chain and may require a minimum-night stay. Each country will also have its local health certification policies which may include testing prior to arrival.

Note 1: AMResorts: The Hospiten testing program will be available onsite across most AMResorts destinations with a few exceptions. Curaçao properties will provide the viral antigen test at no cost to guests at an off-site testing location. Saint Martin and Costa Rica do not currently offer the COVID-19 viral antigen test in destination, therefore the resort will help facilitate the CDC-required testing at an off-site location at an additional cost to the guest.
