American Cruise Line “Coastal Cats” Coming in 2023

American Cruise Lines announced today its new brand of Coastal Cats, a fleet of catamaran-inspired small ships. Now in construction at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, MD, the first of 12 planned ships, American Eagle and American Glory, will debut in 2023 along the East Coast, including New England, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Historic South & Golden Isles. At a capacity of just 100 guests, Coastal Cats will blend the adventure of expedition cruising with the comfort, luxury, and land proximity of river cruising. Like the other ships in the ACL fleet, each will feature modern décor and spacious staterooms, many with private balconies, as well as an elegant restaurant, multiple lounges, a fitness center, and an outdoor café. Please call us at 804-557-3006 for details. #iamabucketeer

American Symphony Joins the ACL Fleet

American Cruise Lines new 175-passenger American Symphony was christened earlier this week in Natchez, MS. Delivered on time, the new vessel is the fifth modern riverboat for the U.S. brand in four years. Spanning five decks, the new modern riverboat has an elegant design with an abundance of glass throughout the ship to deliver stunning views. All of American Symphony’s accommodations—ranging from single staterooms to spacious suites—have private balconies. In addition, American Symphony also offers a modern-series hallmark—a patented opening bow and retractable gangway. That makes going ashore a breeze at practically any locale, given that no dock is required. The new riverboat will continue to sail on the Mississippi River through 2022, including festive holiday cruises in December. Then it will be back for a full season again on the river in 2023. Interested in learning more about the modern riverboats? Give us a call at 804-557-3006. #iamabucketeer
