The Rush Back to Alaska in 2021

In anticipation of the President signing the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act (H.R. 1318) which unanimously passed the House of Representatives yesterday, permitting non-US flagged passenger ships to sail direct from Seattle to Alaskan ports, the cruise lines are gearing up to return to service.

We are Alaska experts. Please call us at 804-557-3006 to plan your Alaska adventure.

Cruise lines such as Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and others have open their books for reservations. CDC guidance, passengers will be required to be vaccinated.

For example, Holland America is planning to sail the Nieuw Amsterdam on the seven-day Alaskan Explorer itinerary, roundtrip from Seattle, from July 24 through September 25.

Cruises will be open to those have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise and have proof of vaccination.

Stay tuned for more developments.

Royal Caribbean Cancels Vision of the Seas Cruises Out of Bermuda

As anticipation builds that the CDC will soon allow cruise lines to sail from the USA with vaccinated crews and passengers, RCCL announced this morning that it is cancelling its planned 2021 cruising schedule for the Vision of the Seas out of Bermuda.

We can only assume that RCCL is preparing to move the ship to Florida in preparation of a green light to cruise.

Meanwhile, due to the hostilities in Israel, RCCL also cancelled its planned inaugural season for the new Odyssey of the Seas sailing out of Haifa, Israel for 7-night Greek island cruises. The Odyssey will, instead, make its way to the USA and be ready when the summer cruise season is announced. Stay tuned for more info!
