Norfolk will receive a new cruise ship in 2027. Carnival Cruise Line announced this week that it will be replacing the old Norfolk-based Carnival SUNSHINE with the 2,974 passenger Carnival FREEDOM starting in May 2027. The FREEDOM will sail from Norfolk to the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Caribbean and Canada. Meanwhile, NCL’s Norwegian PEARL will call on Norfolk 20 times during the 2027 season between April and August. The PEARL will sail out of Philadelphia for Bermuda.
